Description:

Advance Testing Company, an established construction materials inspection and testing firm with national precast inspection contracts, has opportunities for certified inspectors for assignments throughout the northeastern United States.


Selected candidates would be responsible for oversight and detailed inspection of the precast fabrication facility’s production.


Qualifications:

  • PCI Level II or III Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field OR Associates Degree in Concrete Technology preferred
  • Excellent communication skills as real time interaction with on-site quality control and production personnel is essential.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities as production facilities may be working on multiple projects or contracts at one time.
  • Strong computer skills as use of standard office software, printers, scanners, and digital cameras are need daily in report preparation.
  • Flexibility of schedule and assignment durations may vary and travel is often required.
  • Strong plan reading and specification comprehension skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Observes work in progress to ensure that procedures followed and materials used conform to specifications.
  • Perform standard testing on materials.
  • Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
  • Examine workmanship of installations for conformity to specifications.
  • Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and completes reports daily.
Requirements:

All positions may require lifting and/or physical activities, including lifting of up to 75 lbs., walking/working on uneven surfaces, and driving to and from job sites. The majority of our work is conducted outdoors, in all weather conditions. Work hours vary, but include day, night and weekend shifts.
