We offer plenty of hours, steady work, and a schedule that allows you to enjoy time with your family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wise Time Management: Ensure the wise usage of company time by managing operations efficiently and minimizing downtime. Prioritize tasks to maximize productivity.
  • Customer Relations: Interact with customers to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with our products and services. Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality tests on concrete batches during and after pours to ensure they meet required specifications. Adjust mixtures as necessary and maintain accurate records of all batches produced.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform housekeeping duties, update inventories, service and grease equipment, and troubleshoot the batch plant. Recognize when to seek assistance for more complex issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with plant operators, drivers, and quality control personnel to ensure efficient production and delivery of concrete. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate batching and delivery schedules.
  • Training & Supervision: Train and manage team members under your supervision, ensuring that they adhere to company standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Ready Mix Concrete Batchman or in a related role within the concrete or construction industry. Familiarity with Jonel batching and dispatching systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with batching equipment, concrete production processes, and quality control procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to measure and mix materials accurately. Ability to identify and correct any issues that may arise during the batching process.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or material-related issues.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members, drivers, and customers.
  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Reliability: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. A strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production demands.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and operate batching machinery safely.
