Compass does not currently have morning or daytime shifts available through this posting.
Applicants must be available to work the entire schedule listed below on an ongoing basis. Applications reflecting morning-only availability, partial evening availability, or an inability to work all five scheduled days will not move forward for this opening.
Please apply only if this schedule works consistently with your availability and transportation arrangements.
The Role
At Compass Concierge, we don’t just staff a desk; we curate an experience. As a Front Desk Concierge, you are the heartbeat of the building and one of the first impressions residents and guests have of their community. From welcoming residents home to managing the details that keep the front desk running smoothly, you help create an environment that feels organized, secure, and genuinely welcoming.
We are seeking warm, polished, and dependable professionals for a consistent evening schedule in VA, DC, and MD. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping their mornings free while building a stable career in residential hospitality.
The evening shift is when residents return home, guests arrive, deliveries increase, and the community transitions from the workday into the evening. We need someone who can confidently manage that activity while making every interaction feel personal and professional.
Why Join Compass Concierge?
Our team proudly serves thousands of residents across the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We aren’t simply managing lobbies. We are helping create communities where people feel known, supported, and at home.
At Compass, your ability to connect with people matters. So does your reliability, judgment, and desire to grow. As a member of our team, you can expect:

  • A consistent weekly schedule
  • A professional residential work environment
  • Opportunities to strengthen your hospitality and property-management experience
  • Training and support from Compass leadership
  • Recognition for strong performance and reliability
  • Consideration for Elite Concierge, training, and advancement opportunities
  • Benefits for eligible full-time employees

What You’ll Do

  • Create a Welcoming Experience: Greet residents, guests, vendors, and prospective residents with warmth, professionalism, and genuine attentiveness.
  • Build Connections: Learn resident names and preferences and help create the personal, community-oriented experience that sets an exceptional Concierge apart.
  • Manage the Flow: Coordinate package deliveries, visitor access, vendor arrivals, service requests, amenity reservations, and other front-desk activity.
  • Be a Trusted Resource: Answer questions, provide community information, assist with resident needs, and communicate updates clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain the Standard: Keep the front desk and lobby polished, organized, and ready to represent both Compass and the residential community.
  • Protect the Community: Follow visitor-management and access-control procedures while remaining calm, courteous, and confident.
  • Document the Details: Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports, package records, and handoffs so that important information does not get lost between shifts.
  • Stay Calm Under Pressure: Respond thoughtfully to resident concerns, unexpected situations, and emergencies while following established procedures.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of customer-service experience
  • Previous concierge, hotel, residential, reception, hospitality, front-desk, or property-management experience preferred
  • A warm and professional communication style
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Confidence interacting with residents, clients, vendors, and guests
  • Sound judgment and respect for confidentiality
  • Comfort using email, digital tracking platforms, and basic computer systems
  • The ability to remain alert, attentive, and engaged throughout the shift
  • Reliable transportation or a dependable commuting plan
  • Availability to work one of the complete schedules listed below

The Full-Time Schedule
