Job description

The Direct to Consumer (DTC) Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in driving sales and enhancing customer engagement through both inbound and outbound calls. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service, driving new patient enrollment, and executing sales campaigns to promote products and services. This role involves educating potential and existing customers on product offerings, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting individual sales targets. A high degree of professionalism, product knowledge, and empathy is required to effectively communicate with end users and clinicians regarding health care products and services.

Major Areas of Accountability:
  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, servicing both new and existing customers.
  • Engage in lead generation from referrals, online ads, and other marketing campaigns; follow up with product offerings.
  • Provide clear, professional communication about product applications, medical procedures, and troubleshooting issues with end users, clinics and medical offices.
  • Support patients in enrolling in Comfort Medical Services and assisting them in choosing the best products for their needs.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of product offerings, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Demonstrate effective sales techniques to drive conversions and meet set activity and sales goals.
  • Collaborate with field and internal teams to strengthen customer relationships and meet sales objectives.
  • Provide education on distribution, reimbursement, and insurance policies related to product offerings.
  • Document all customer interactions thoroughly, ensuring high data quality and self-auditing of work.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in CRM systems and documentation software (e.g., Brightree, Salesforce).
  • Provide reporting and feedback on campaign performance and customer feedback.
  • Adhere to corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing training to improve product knowledge and sales strategies.
  • Comfort Medical employees are required to conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards; comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and company policies.
  • Other job duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and achieving performance metrics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex product information to end users with clarity and empathy.
  • Willingness to engage in telephone sales and marketing activities.
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and an ability to handle challenging customer situations with professionalism. Ability to maintain composure under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting all work and interactions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a contact center or sales environment, preferably in healthcare or medical sales.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with intermediate computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and systems like Brightree is a plus.
