Practice:

True Companion Animal Hospital s a leading veterinary facility dedicated to serving pets and their owners in The Woodlands, Spring, and the surrounding areas. Our state-of-the-art, 5,100-square-foot freestanding building is the hub for comprehensive pet care services.

We provide a full spectrum of medical, surgical, behavioral, and nutritional services.

Position Purpose:

At True Companion Animal Hospital, we are a practice that provides gentle, compassionate care for companion animals. Our practice is known for being feline-friendly and providing the highest quality of medicine in the area. We treat dogs and cats and have a large lobby with two entrances in order to maintain a low stress environment for our feline companions. We have a strong support staff and our team values a positive, upbeat culture and excels in customer service. We combine this with our high-end medicine and surgery to ensure that our client's fur-kids can lead happy and healthy lives!

Our ideal candidate is a creative, and driven veterinarian who is looking to join a dedicated team. We are looking for someone who feels as strongly as we do about providing the highest level of care to our patients and showing empathy for both the patient and the client.

About the area: Spring/The Woodlands is a thriving and growing community 28 miles north of Houston, TX. As we have grown over the last 30 years, this community has become where we both work and play. We are home to outdoor parks, concert venues, and a myriad of restaurants for every taste. Old Town Spring and downtown Tomball is a wonderful family friendly area with beautiful architecture, shopping, retail, and popular annual events.  There is something for every age group from a nice relaxing round of golf to a trip to Hurricane Harbor for the kids.  Your new adventure awaits!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range:

USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
