Job description

The Job San Bernardino County is recruiting for Automated Systems Analyst I who administer, maintain, and develop computer-based information systems within a County department. Incumbent responsibilities may include maintaining servers, switches, and desktops; administering local area networks, wired and wireless networks; and developing and maintaining departmental applications, simple databases, websites, and local computerized systems. The current vacancies exist throughout multiple departments throughout San Bernardino County.

The list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur including the Fire Protection District and Special Districts. For a more detailed description of job duties, refer to the Automated Systems Analyst I job description. The Fire Protection Department and Special Districts Department are separate entities from the County of San Bernardino, and as such, compensation and benefits for their positions are set forth in a different compensation plan, refer to the Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) for more information.

Minimum Requirements Candidates must meet the required Experience AND Education to qualify. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional or technical experience within the last five (5) years supporting and maintaining Microsoft servers, network infrastructure or other automated systems, including software applications, in a professionally administered network. REQUIRED EDUCATION Thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units of completed coursework from an accredited college, university, or technical school in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field; -OR- completion of an industry-recognized IT certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, or an equivalent certification related to systems administration, networking, endpoint management, cybersecurity, or application support.

EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the required education/certification. Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of proven experience in systems analysis, network design, and application development.

Strong knowledge of local and wide area network environments. Familiarity with software development methodologies and coding languages. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
