Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong healthcare and Third-Party Administration (TPA) domain experience and hands-on expertise with MicroStrategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare business processes, particularly TPA operations, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions. Experience working with legacy BI/reporting environments and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from healthcare and TPA stakeholders.
• Work closely with business users, product owners, project managers, developers, and data teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Leverage MicroStrategy to support enterprise reporting, dashboards, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Analyze existing reports and identify opportunities for enhancement, modernization, and migration.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Work with technical teams to define data, reporting, and dashboard requirements.
• Validate data and reporting outputs against business requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test cases, issue tracking, and resolution.
• Analyze healthcare data and business processes related to Third-Party Administration (TPA).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand claims, eligibility, benefits, provider, member, and related healthcare data requirements.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Assist with troubleshooting reporting and data-related issues.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide status updates to project leadership.
• Coordinate with offshore and onshore development and data teams as required.
Required Qualifications
• 5-7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
• Strong healthcare domain experience.
• Hands-on experience with Third-Party Administration (TPA) processes and systems.
• Strong hands-on MicroStrategy experience is required.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience working with BI, reporting, and analytics platforms.
• Experience creating functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and data requirements.
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
