Business Development Representative

Location: Near Utica & Syracuse, NY (Hybrid: in-office, remote, and field-based)
Base Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 + Commission
Employment Type: Full-Time

Our growing business technology solutions client is seeking a Business Development Representative to join its expanding team in Central New York. This is an exciting entry point into a long-term sales and consulting career, offering structured training, mentorship, and clear advancement opportunities.

If you're motivated, outgoing, and interested in building a career in B2B sales, marketing, and technology solutions, this role offers the tools, support, and earning potential to help you succeed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage new business opportunities through phone outreach, email campaigns, and networking
  • Schedule and qualify meetings with prospective clients
  • Collaborate with senior consultants on sales strategies and client presentations
  • Learn and represent a broad portfolio of business technology solutions, including:
    • IT services and software solutions
    • Document management systems
    • Printing and mailing equipment
    • Workflow and office technology tools
  • Assist in developing proposals and supporting the sales cycle from initial contact through close
  • Participate in client meetings (virtual and in-person) as you grow into a consultative sales role
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal team members
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies
