Software Analyst
Greenville South Carolina
Essential Functions:
  • Creative mindset working in a global team environment to help develop data systems software.
  • Quality check, train users and manage deployment of several data systems software.
  • Support a software development team with the addition of modules and features to existing codebases
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing databases with emerging data technologies
  • Train and interface with database end users
  • Administer and update user lists, feature profiles, and other software configurations managing data access
  • Support data structures, APIs (Rest/Custom), and version control (GIT).
  • Support an IT team in the management and improvement of a private computer network

Qualifications:
  • Associates or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering.
  • Experience working with popular programing languages such as Python, C, and C#
  • Experience with LabVIEW is desired.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Documentation and effective communication mindset.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating systems and MS Office.

General:
The Component and Development Test CoE is responsible for the design and execution of critical test programs with the objective of acquiring high quality design data that will facilitate the development of world class products for the GE Energy Power & Water and Energy Services P&L's. CDT uses state-of-the-art measurement and acquisition solutions to support worldwide test programs covering product and services applications in the power industry. Additionally, CDT conducts Advanced Technology testing to provide fundamental design data and leads the transition of new measurement technology from the research stage to practical application. We manage and maintain over 1 Petabyte of data.
