FORVIA is looking for a year-round Data Science Intern for its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities
  • Assist in designing, building, and testing machine learning models for use cases such as computer vision, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection.
  • Support the development of end-to-end ML workflows, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to understand data and contribute to solving practical problems using AI.
  • Help optimize model performance and experiment with different algorithms under guidance from senior team members.
  • Use Python and common machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn) to develop and test models.
  • Assist in integrating models into applications and workflows alongside data and software engineers.
  • Contribute to exploratory AI initiatives, including generative AI use cases.
  • Document code, experiments, and findings to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in data science and machine learning.

Your profile and competencies to succeed
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program
  • Data analysis and excel skills are a plus
  • Majors in computer science, data analysis, or related firld
  • Graduation of 2027 or later
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA
