The Licensing Associate is a time-limited, entry-level position created to provide an opportunity to develop technology transfer skills by working alongside a team of licensing professionals.
The Licensing Associate will work closely with the Director of Licensing to learn all aspects of technology transfer and commercialization at the University of Nebraska.
In addition to working with UNMC and UNO innovators to receive and evaluate new inventions, will also be responsible for marketing and licensing new technology to industry.
This position is a one year appointment that may be renewed on a yearly basis for a maximum of a 3 year appointment. This position will provide significant training for candidates that have an interest in technology transfer as a career.
As the technology development and commercialization entity for the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), UNeMed is focused on improving healthcare by fostering innovation, advancing biomedical research and engaging entrepreneurs and industry to commercialize novel technologies. UNeMed was established in 1991 and has amassed a diverse portfolio of intellectual property that represents significant advances in biomedical and clinical technology areas such as therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, research tools and software. We have a diverse staff with significant expertise in science, business and law.
