Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for our client in Clinton IL 61727 . This is a 13-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!
Position Title: Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Clinton IL 61727
Duration: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Primarily Days | Rotating Weekends | Occasional On-Call (5*8)
Pay rate: 55-60$/hr.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological laboratory tests following established laboratory procedures.
  • Analyze and report accurate laboratory results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Perform proficient phlebotomy for patients of all age groups.
  • Maintain compliance with laboratory quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in rotating weekend coverage and occasional on-call responsibilities as needed.
To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related biological science.
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • ASCP certification required.
  • Phlebotomy experience is required.
  • Experience performing chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and other routine laboratory testing.
  • Meditech EMR experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer, mathematical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely perform the physical demands of the role.
