Job Summary

The Senior Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for supporting the stability, integrity, and operational effectiveness of the organization's IT Data Centres and Cloud infrastructure environment. This role oversees the ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of core technology platforms including server environments, network systems, cloud services, storage solutions, identity services, and endpoint infrastructure. The position ensures that infrastructure services are reliable, secure, and aligned with organizational standards and business requirements.

The Senior Infrastructure Analyst contributes to the delivery of infrastructure operations by addressing system performance, supporting incident and problem resolution, and participating in infrastructure initiatives such as system upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption efforts. The role also supports compliance obligations, operational risk management, and technology lifecycle planning through adherence to established processes and documentation standards.

Working collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors, the Senior Infrastructure Analyst helps maintain a resilient and scalable technology environment while supporting continuous improvement and service optimization. As the Senior Infrastructure Analyst you will:

  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, and other critical IT infrastructure components.
  • Support cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure setups.
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems, ensuring data integrity and rapid recovery in the event of an incident.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning exercises.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure architects and vendors to implement and refine system configurations, ensuring scalability and reliability. Also, support project execution and new technology adoption.
  • Respond and resolve incidents, outages, and performance issues in alignment with defined SLAs and ITSM practices.
  • Deploy and manage virtual machines, backup systems, storage platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Support firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers; ensure network uptime and performance.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure security policies are enforced.
  • Implement and monitor endpoint protection, encryption, and access controls.
  • Support patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation (diagrams, inventory, SOPs).
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX audit reviews and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with infrastructure-related projects such as migrations, hardware refreshes, and cloud transitions.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity trends; recommend proactive improvements.

You would be the best fit for this role if you have...

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with a strong focus on server, data centre and cloud support.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows server environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
  • 5+ years of experience with Virtualization technologies (Hyper V, Nutanix or VMware). Nutanix preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with storage solutions (NetApp, Pure Storage). NetApp preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with IAM, IDP, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Python etc.).
  • Experience with Enterprise backup solutions (Commvault, Rubrik, Veeam etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 infrastructure, Entra ID (Azure AD), or similar identity platforms is an asset.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure in regulated environments is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with documentation standards and audit readiness practices

  • Certifications such as ITIL, AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), SOA-C02 (AWS SysOps Administrator).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and abilities to manage competing priorities.

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Azure Monitor).

  • Understanding of Zero Trust and modern identity security principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess system performance and identify root causes of complex issues.
  • Ability to support and maintain hybrid identity environments.
  • Knowledge of high availability and fault-tolerant infrastructure design.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure in multi-site or geographically distributed environments.
  • Ability to implement and maintain infrastructure standards and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Ability to evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements aligned to business needs.
  • Understanding of risk management principles related to infrastructure operations.
  • Strong documentation discipline and process-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of service reliability concepts such as uptime, redundancy, and resiliency.
  • Familiarity with automation-first operational approaches.
  • Ability to participate in technical decision-making and infrastructure roadmap discussions.
