Description

Join Skyworks in Andover, Massachusetts for a Winter/Spring 2027 Co-Op focused on engineering automation and workflow optimization while providing exposure to RFIC design. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop productivity tools, analyze engineering data, support RF design activities, and improve development processes across multiple projects. This Co-Op offers hands-on industry experience, opportunities to build advanced technical skills, and exposure to real-world engineering challenges. You will gain valuable professional experience while exploring potential full-time career opportunities at Skyworks. Responsibilities
  • Develop automated workflows that integrate Cadence Virtuoso and/or Keysight ADS to accelerate FEM and module design iterations while improving design quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Support RFIC and multi-chip module design and development activities.
  • Create automated data analysis, visualization tools, and reporting solutions to improve engineering productivity and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.
  • Document tools, workflows, processes, and best practices to promote knowledge sharing and repeatability.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Cadence SKILL, ADS scripting, or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with analog and/or RF design in Cadence Virtuoso, including schematic capture, simulation, layout, and verification.
  • Experience with automation, data analysis, software development, or workflow improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and enthusiasm for technical problem solving.
Desired Experience and Skills
  • Experience applying machine learning, AI-assisted coding tools, predictive analytics, or data-driven engineering methods to solve technical problems.
  • Experience developing software tools, AI-assisted workflows, or database-driven applications that improve engineering productivity.
  • Familiarity with Git, version control systems, and collaborative software development practices.
  • Experience using Linux/Unix environments for engineering, scripting, and automation tasks.
Term
  • January 2027 – June 2027 Winter/Spring Co-Op
  • Must have ability to complete 6-month Co-Op term prior to graduation.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
