Job description

General Summary of Position:

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Massachusetts Lowell.

The successful applicant will conduct medical imaging research on high temporal resolution cardiac CT in the Imaging and Informatics Lab and assist the immediate supervisor with writing scholarly articles and proposals. For more information, please contact Prof. Hengyong Yu hengyong_yu@uml.edu.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Doctoral degree obtained from a qualified university in the field of study with good track record of research and publications.
  • Background of medical imaging and machine learning in algorithm development/implementation.

Additional Considerations:

  • Minimum number of 3 peer-reviewed journal publications in the field
  • Ability to work independently, with limited direction, as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to mentor and inspire students with limited research experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experiences of algorithm development in computed tomography

Special Instructions to Applicants:

This position is full-time, benefited and in the Grace union -grade PD. Anticipated salary based on range minimum: $50,000, 25th quartile: $56,500 and midpoint of $63,000.

This position is contingent upon funding. The initial appointment will be for 1 year with a renewal contingent upon funding and successful performance.
