Job description

STV is seeking and experienced Senior CAD Technician to join our Transportation Group in the Boston office.

The Technician will support CAD efforts by the design team, addressing the challenge of utilizing a wide array of software and CAD standards to facilitate design on meaningful projects. This position requires the candidate work in our Boston office.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up project templates and files structures compliant with project/client CAD standards
  • Monitoring and enforcing project standards compliance, file organization, best practices, and modeling errors
  • Preparingdrawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs with occasional assistance
  • Collaborating with other production team members - reviewing models for design coordination issues, answering questions, and troubleshooting issues
  • Have an understanding of engineering and architectural documentation and construction, including infrastructure

Required Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with Transportation Agencies
  • Must be versatile utilizing several CAD/BIM software and cloud-based platforms, especially Autodesk and Bentley products such as: AutoCAD, Civil3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, MicroStation,ProjectWise, OpenBridge,OpenBuildings,Revit Plan & Detail Development & Presentation
  • Ability to solve problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously under aggressive timelines
  • Strong teamwork skills MassDOT, MBTA, and other transportation client experience.

Compensation Range:

$92,510.00 - $105,125.00
