A "Civil Designer / CAD Professional" is a technical role within civil engineering that involves creating detailed construction drawings for infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, and utilities using computer-aided design (CAD) software, primarily focusing on programs like AutoCAD Civil 3D, to produce accurate plans and profiles that meet project specifications and local regulations; requiring proficiency in both civil engineering design principles and CAD operations to translate design concepts into executable construction documents.

Position Type: Full Time
Department: Warrington Office
Salary Range: $65,000 to $100,000 annually

Position Description: The Civil Designer / CAD Professional will design a wide variety of projects ranging from small to large projects in the multi-use, residential, commercial, educational, etc., categories. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing and developing site design (from conception through final approval), grading, erosion and sedimentation control, site investigation, researching state and local design standards, coordination/communication with contractors and clients, and stormwater management. This position involves both drafting and designing your own work.

Qualifications

Requirements:
• 5 - 10+ years of relevant experience
• Must have proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Land Development and Site Design experience
• Stormwater Management, Grading, Erosion & Sediment Control, and Utility Design
• Regulatory Permitting (NPDES) and Zoning approvals
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to manage and design multiple concurrent projects
