Job description

Overall Purpose of the Position:

The IT Intern will assist with day-to-day technology operations, end user support, system documentation, and technology improvement initiatives across manufacturing and business environments. This position provides hands-on experience with enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and manufacturing technology.

The IT Intern will report to the IT Manager and work directly with the IT team to support projects involving Microsoft 365, ERP systems, device management, automation, reporting, and operational technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with hardware deployment, setup, and inventory tracking
  • Provide end user support for PCs, printers, mobile devices, and software
  • Help document systems, processes, and network environments
  • Support Microsoft 365 administration tasks
  • Assist with account provisioning and onboarding/offboarding activities
  • Participate in cybersecurity and IT governance initiatives
  • Help troubleshoot connectivity, application, and device issues
  • Support manufacturing technology and shop floor systems as needed
  • Assist with reporting, data cleanup, and process improvement projects
  • Participate in ERP, CRM, and workflow automation initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Software Development, Computer Science, Programming, or another related technology field
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Windows environments
    • Microsoft 365
    • Networking concepts
    • Hardware troubleshooting
    • Documentation practices
  • Familiarity with databases or scripting is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
