The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an IT Network Intern to function as part of a team of engineers responsible for CACI's distributed enterprise network environment in our Chantilly, VA office.
This position will be hybrid with the expectation that you be in office 80% of the time so you must live within the local commuting distance (50 miles).
Responsibilities:
• Installation and Implementation: Overseeing network installations and implementing solutions with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Device and Service Configuration: Configuring and installing network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs, ensuring each device and service is correctly integrated and optimized.
• Testing and Optimization: Conducting thorough tests on network systems, monitoring performance, troubleshooting outages, and working with network architects to optimize the network.
• Maintenance and Support: Ensuring the health and maintenance of both enterprise and development networks, including managing various network hardware (e.g., firewalls, switches, routers).
• Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Using performance analysis tools to troubleshoot network issues, track data flows, and resolve any disruptions in service or network efficiency.
• Customer Support: Providing support for customer-related technologies, ensuring the infrastructure meets user needs and expectations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Completing final year of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Basic understanding of network essentials
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Familiarity with enterprise network concepts: basic knowledge of configuring network routers, switches, firewalls and wireless networks
Desired:
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Certification
• Knowledge of or experience in SDA, ISE, & DNAC
• Knowledge of or experience in large-scale network environments
