As an employee-owned company, we believe your growth fuels our success. If you're ready to take your CAD skills to the next level and see your work make a lasting impact, this is the place to start.
We are looking for a motivated CAD Technician to join our Utilities practice area, supporting the design and development of water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to projects that directly benefit communities across the region.
This opportunity can be fully remote (based out of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, or Georgia) and/or a hybrid role based out of one of our North Carolina office locations.
Why WithersRavenel?
When you join us, you're not just joining a firm - you're joining an employee-owned company where your voice matters, your work is valued, and your career is yours to shape. As an ESOP company, every team member is an owner, which means we share in the success we build together. Here, you'll find:
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment where learning is encouraged
  • Opportunities to work on meaningful projects that improve the sustainability of communities
  • Flexibility to thrive - balancing your career with your life outside of work

Grow With Us.
If you want to grow as a professional while contributing to projects that matter - WithersRavenel is where you belong.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or related technical certificate or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD experience, with a strong foundation in Civil 3D
  • Basic knowledge of grading and civil design practices
  • Water/wastewater experience is a plus, but not required - what matters most is your eagerness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A team-oriented mindset with the drive to grow your career in design

Working Conditions
The assignment may require infrequent evening/weekend work and job site visits outdoors. Candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-driven environment.
Physical Requirements
The assignment may occasionally require repetitive physical tasks (such as operating a computer), standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of the position. All employees may have other duties assigned at any time.
