Job description

Position Summary

The Director of Network Services will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the existing Network Services Team. This role demands an experienced Network Services expert with a proven track record in managing network support teams within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. In this client facing role, you will possess the vision and ambition necessary to lead a world-class support unit with a particular focus on scalable network management, automation, governance, and continuous improvement.

The position will be based out of our NYC office and will require 3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to enhance the delivery of global network services.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Network Services Team with one direct report and 30 indirects based in the UK, India, Hong Kong, Philippines, US and Portugal.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions to deliver exceptional network support services.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, customer service excellence, and team engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align network services with the overall business objectives.
  • Evaluate and optimize current processes and systems to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and ensure the team meets or exceeds service expectations.
  • Lead the team in staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Mentor and develop team members, ensuring a high level of technical competence and professional growth.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)ย 

  • BA/BS degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in network management
  • MSP experience with a strong sense of customer service and priority
  • Experience with Solar winds, Palo Alto, Fortinet, ConnectWise, Logic Monitor, MCM, Panorama or similar tools.
  • Relevant industry certifications, e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading network support teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • May require occasional international travel to India and/or NY and flexibility in working hours to meet business needs.

Preferred skills

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tool
  • Experience with financial services/trading environments.
  • Experience working with buy-side firms.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to work under a moderate noise level (i.e. working on an open floor with printers, telephones, and computers)
  • Ability to travel for business and work beyond normal business hours when necessary.
  • Ability to be flexible and successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
