Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently sourcing a Computer Network Operations professional with malware experience.  Responsibilities for this computer science role includes:

  • Develop software programs that have network communications and the ability to persist across reboots
  • Perform agile development, accurately estimate the time to complete tasks and respond to time-sensitive operational requirements
  • Document software designs and explain the performance tradeoffs made.

Understand how malware is detected by personal security products and/or network monitoring and evade such detection.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive testing methodology for software products (e.g. unit tests, functional testing and integration testing)
  • Develop complex algorithms

Qualifications

This position requires the following:

  • Five (5) years' experience in software development and a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of expertise (e.g. Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, and Systems Engineering). 
  • Three (3) years of experience with MS/MA degree in a relevant field of study.
  • PhD in a relevant field of experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required

Experience in the following areas are highly desired:

  • Experience with C development and reverse engineering
  • Development on or analysis of Mobile devices (native Android)
  • Strong proficiency in C programming
  • Performing reverse engineering on diverse architectures
  • Vulnerability analysis and research
  • Python
  • Experience in Computer Network Operations to include Computer Network Exploitation (CNE), Computer Network Attack (CNA or computer security experience on Windows, UNIX, or Mobile platforms.

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
