The Electrical CAD Designer will work alongside a team of engineers. You'll be responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting our clients' overall project goals. As avitalmember of our team, you'll have the opportunity to workon projects that

focus on building electrical design, including lighting, power and systems coordination within a wide range of power plant technologies such as; gas powered generation, biomass, municipal waste, hydrogen production and applications, carbon capture, BESS, hydro, wind and solar. Subject matter expertise is less important than the ability to lead and execute complex projects.

Requirements

  • Associate' s or Bachelor' s degree in drafting technology or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of electrical One-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, cable routing and knowledge of the NEC.

  • Substation physical layout and electrical clearances.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, and to coordinate the work of various engineering disciplines and contractors to complete an integrated project.

  • Must have mastered detailing skills and have demonstrated basic knowledge in design, calculations, and design systems.

  • Advanced understanding of design software such as: AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables.

  • Advanced ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.

  • Routinely uses higher-level commands, time saving programs and routines.

  • Drafting on industrial projects that include one-line, three-line, schematic, and general arrangement drawings.

  • Drafter responsibilities include utilizing and following specific codes (NEC), reference material, CAD standards, and the ability to use application software effectively with a high level of detail and accuracy.

  • The ability to interpret engineer's notes and sketches and create detailed working drawings will be necessary.

  • The successful candidate must also be able to multi-task and work under strict deadlines.

The Salary range for this position is $83,300.00-$105,200.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
