Job description

As a Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, you will work on diverse projects with various sizes, scopes, and details. You will work in a flexible work environment with a fantastic culture and a national presence. We are looking for Survey Technicians who are interested in being subject matter experts in midstream pipeline exhibits, upstream well staking, surface and bottomhole locations, well plats, and land/leasebased survey exhibits.

  • Resourceful Support:

    • Provide drafting and technical support to survey teams by following established CAD standards, workflows, and procedures for midstream and upstream survey projects.
  • CAD Proficiency:

    • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related survey software to prepare and revise midstream pipeline and upstream survey exhibits in accordance with company CAD standards and project requirements.
  • Drawing Production:

    • Produce survey drawings and exhibits related to midstream pipeline and upstream projects, including alignment sheets, rightofway exhibits, easement exhibits, well plats, and surface and bottomhole location drawings.
  • Survey Data Review:

    • Review and interpret survey data and documentation to support drawing production, including legal descriptions, easements, rightofway information, and well location data, under the direction of survey staff.
  • Plan Modification:

    • Responsibly edit and modify plans in line with revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients, following directives closely.
  • Workflow Coordination:

    • Maintain open communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status, ensuring the team meets chargeability goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of previous AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required
  • Experience with midstream/upstream pipeline
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) preferred 
  • High School Diploma Required, Associated Degree preferred
