Under the direction of an assigned administrator, the Speech and Language Pathologist Services Specialist conducts Language, Speech, and Hearing Assessments and provides Educational Services, provides specific learning disability area services related to speech and language, and special education services to students with language and speech impairments across the special education disability areas.

Mental Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be regularly be required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; use math and mathematical reasoning; perform highly detailed work; work on multiple and concurrent tasks; work with frequent interruptions; work under intensive deadlines; and interact with District and program personnel, school administrators, managers, staff, vendors, the public, and others encountered in the course of work.
Work Environment: Work in a computer lab, classroom, or school environment.
Upon an offer of employment, candidate must provide all official undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Appointment to this position predicated upon submitting a negative TB result, and candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a clearance by the California Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Within three days of employment, all new employees will show appropriate documents which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
