Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Bridge CAD Designer to join our team! In this role you will support bridge design projects by preparing high quality CAD drawings for new bridges, rehabilitations and transportation structure improvements.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes AutoCAD or MicroStation to prepare bridge engineering drawings consisting of standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
  • Maintain drawing standards, file organization, templates, project documentation.
  • Works closely with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.
  • Review and incorporate engineering markups, design changes and quality control feedback.
  • Applies standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments.
  • Utilizes technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards and codes such as MTO Standard Details.
  • Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
  • Assists in training lower-level Designers in various technical procedures, as needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • CET or Designer with 5+ years experience with bridge structure
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation and strong knowledge of Bridge structure components and details.
  • Ability to multi-task to work on multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and technical problem solving.
