Position Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager supports the Program Management Office Support Services functional line for the Hill CEDC IT Operations & Maintenance contract at Hill AFB by leading the HPE GreenLake modernization and infrastructure consolidation effort. This role manages project scope, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables while directing HPE GreenLake Systems Administrators, Computer Hardware Engineers, and the Information System Security Officer (ISSO). The Senior Project Manager oversees planning, coordination, integration, and sustainment activities supporting the deployment and operational readiness of the HPE GreenLake environment across 2,000+ servers, 250+ applications, and multiple enclaves. As a senior‑level contributor, this position independently executes high‑visibility and mission‑critical tasks, functions as a technical expert across multiple assignments, and provides supervisory oversight for assigned project personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project scope, cost estimates, staffing requirements, schedules, communication plans, and work assignments to meet project objectives.
  • Lead all phases of the HPE GreenLake project, including planning, design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Provide supervisory oversight and direction to HPE GreenLake Systems Administrators, Computer Hardware Engineers, and the ISSO supporting the infrastructure consolidation effort.
  • Establish project goals, define milestones, and ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
  • Use project management tools to track progress, schedule adherence, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
  • Facilitate project meetings and working sessions to review status, resolve issues, and maintain alignment across technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular status updates, milestone reporting, and project summaries to Program Management and leadership.
  • Ensure project documentation—including requirements, design artifacts, test results, implementation records, and configuration updates—is accurate, complete, and audit‑ready.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure RMF, C2C, and security compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee hardware lifecycle activities supporting GreenLake integration, including installation, configuration, acceptance, and sustainment.
  • Engage with HPE and third‑party vendors for technical support, integration activities, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze proposed changes for technical impact, operational alignment, and lifecycle implications.
  • Support onboarding, modernization, and operational support activities by ensuring project outputs align with enterprise hosting requirements.
  • Maintain organized repositories for project documentation, design artifacts, test evidence, and audit materials.
  • Collaborate with technical SMEs, functional leads, Government stakeholders, and leadership to ensure project alignment with mission needs and operational requirements.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and technical considerations clearly and effectively to technical teams and leadership.
  • Ensure all project activities meet accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and auditability standards.
  • Apply senior‑level expertise to plan and lead major project assignments, evaluate performance results, recommend improvements, and ensure successful execution of high‑impact tasks.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT project management or technical project coordination.
  • Experience leading IT infrastructure, modernization, or data center projects.
  • Understanding of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of operating systems, network administration, virtualization, and service desk operations.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and documentation related to IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Must possess a Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Required Certifications (only one required)

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Scrum Alliance
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM) – Scrum.org

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HPE GreenLake or similar hybrid cloud infrastructure platforms.
  • ITIL Foundation or ITIL Managing Professional certification.
