Description:

We are gearing up for our busy season! We are looking for an individual with general handyman or hardware store experience to become our hardware team member. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits choices including medical, dental, vision, accident, long and short-term disability, store discounts, pet insurance. We have an excellent team environment with a people first commitment.

Objective of Position:

Hardware Team Members are responsible for a positive sales floor customer experience. This position will utilize our customer service guidelines during the entire sales process, from entering the store, providing product information and ensuring the customer leaves our store satisfied.


Essential Functions:

· Provide excellent customer service

· Greet customers entering the store

· Help customers find the location of products

. Help customers figure out quick projects and supplies needed to get them done

· Answer customers’ questions and provide information on company policies

· Answering phones as instructed and help customers over the phone as needed

· Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties

· Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

· This position reports to the Store Manager

Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

· Qualifications- prefer 1-2 years’ experience in hardware or handyman type background

· Education Qualifications- prefer High School diploma but no experience required

· Skills- Problem solver, detail-oriented, outstanding customer service skills, excellent communication skills, actively looks for ways to help people

The team member may occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, frequently have to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:

This job generally operates in an inside store environment with occasionally working outside.
