Electrical / Computer Engineer - Embedded & IoT Systems

Location: Fort Madison, IA (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical / Computer Engineer to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead design initiatives, work on cutting-edge embedded and IoT systems, and contribute across the full product lifecycle-from concept to production.

You will play a key role in developing control systems for high-temperature equipment and environmental control applications across diverse industries, including industrial heating and controlled environment agriculture.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded systems (hardware & firmware) for new and existing products

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and enhancements

  • Support production and manufacturing processes

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions

  • Work on IoT-enabled systems, including communication devices, remote sensors, and mobile integrations

  • Contribute to software, firmware, and hardware integration

  • Interface with customers for technical support and issue resolution

  • Ensure projects are delivered from concept through production


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

  • Strong proficiency in C programming for embedded systems

  • Experience with microcontrollers, A/D converters, and circuit design

  • Familiarity with PCB design and electronics fundamentals
