Job DescriptionJob Title: Graphic DesignerDivision: Enrollment MarketingSupervisor: Director of Enrollment MarketingHours: Full-TimeJob Summary:Demonstrates a thorough understanding of branding and graphic design to attract prospective students to Bethel University and engage other audiences of Bethel supporters. This person will work with vendors and the university enrollment and advancement offices to effectively promote and market Bethel University and its programs.Essential Functions:Fulfill the design needs for all approved external Bethel pieces, primarily serving the Office of Enrollment, Office of Institutional Advancement, and the President's Office. This includes print and digital promotional materials, campus signage, social media graphics, the Bethel Magazine, display banners, etc.Work closely with faculty, staff, and students to present a positive Bethel University image through assisting in managing the Bethel brand, including making necessary updates to the brand manual and style guide.Work closely with vendors to communicate visual standards and brand style guide, and ensure adherence to the Bethel brand.Assist in determining expectations for vendors and developing/managing a system to track their progress and outcomes.Work with the Marketing Specialist to ensure that campus clients receive appropriate communication about their projects and that all project procedures are followed.Work with the Director of Enrollment Marketing and Marketing Specialist to develop graphics and design elements to communicate key messages on Bethel's website.Stay up-to-date with industry design standards and keep track of trends within the higher education marketing sector.Assist the Marketing Specialist in setting deadlines for proofs, revisions, and printing.Create branded templates and assist in managing administrative tasks as needed.Assist in providing visual direction for photo shoots.All other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Solid verbal and written communication skills.Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, journalism, or marketing.3 years' experience preferred in graphic design (preferably in a marketing or communications setting).Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (fluency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)Ability to edit with attention to detail.Ability to be creative, innovative, resourceful, and adaptive to change.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.Ability to function/interact with all divisions of the university.About Bethel UniversityFor more information, visit our website at www.betheluniversity.eduBethel University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, sex, disability, national or ethnic origin in employment opportunities, in keeping with applicable state and federal laws.
