Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the MEP Mechanical Team, based Milwaukee, Wisconsin office and have the opportunity to work on the designing HVAC systems for Gaming, Hospitality, Entertainment, Healthcare or Commercial projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
  • Perform hands-on CAD using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platforms
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace, Energy Pro, DOE)
  • Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff
  • Layout air and water side systems on working drawings
  • Understand fan and pump curves to properly select equipment for application
  • Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products
  • Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (mep, fp, arch, struct, etc) for HVAC details
  • Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects
  • Understand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
  • Understand both constant and variable flow systems, and properly apply equipment

What your experience looks like
  • 3 + years in designing HVAC systems for gaming, hospitality, entertainment, health care, or commercial projects or recent graduate with internship experience in the HVAC field for construction projects, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
  • An Engineering Bachelor's degree specializing in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering
  • Auto CAD, REVIT MEP familiar
  • Good Written and verbal communication
  • EIT Certification is desired.
