We're accepting applications for a motivated, talented Mechanical CAD Engineering Technician to join our growing Engineering team and contribute to the exciting product development projects we're working on. What You'll Do:
  • Design & Innovate: Use SolidWorks (or your preferred CAD software) to collaborate with our engineers, creating new designs and enhancing existing ones to meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
  • Create Detailed Drawings: Develop comprehensive 3D models and detailed drawings with all necessary views and dimensions to ensure precision manufacturing.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to keep everything aligned and up-to-date. Your work will directly support product development and ensure we maintain technical excellence.
  • Prototype Development: Work hands-on with our team to build prototypes, applying your skills in machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication to bring concepts to life.
  • Continuous Improvement: Take an active role in our continuous improvement efforts, always seeking innovative ways to optimize design, production, and overall workflow.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, manufacturing, inspection, and testing to ensure high-quality standards and efficient project completion.

Requirements
Mechanical CAD Engineering Technician - What We're Looking For:
  • Education & Experience: Associate's degree in drafting design or a technical program, and/or 1-3 years of drafting experience (we're open to equivalent experience if you've got it).
  • CAD Expertise: Proficient with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD systems - we're looking for someone who can create accurate, detailed drawings and bring designs to life.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience with manufacturing machinery is a plus!
  • ERP Familiarity: Experience with ERP systems, especially Infor SyteLine, is a huge advantage.
  • Tech-Savvy: Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for documentation and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You've got a "can-do" attitude, are analytical, and excel at finding creative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: You'll be working with cross-functional teams, so strong communication and collaboration skills are key.
