Daily Responsibilities: * Configuring, updating, and administering systems running Linux systems. * Applying NIST configuration scripts to Linux systems and resolving any configuration issues so systems are compliant to NIST security requirements. * Maintaining security updates on Linux systems. * Assisting with configuring, updating, and administering Biometric Research Lab (BRL) networks and storage systems. * Maintaining updated BRL documentation on configurations and processes as performed. Required Years of Experience (min) : * Ten years of relevant experience Required Degree : * Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Computer Science Required Experience : * 10 years of general system and software engineering. * 5 years of experience: Configuring and administering linux operating systems (Ubuntu Pro required) including security settings. Administering and running biometric technology evaluations. * 10 years of experience maintaining system security configurations to meet requirements for operational environments.
