DeKind Computer Consultants - IT Infrastructure Field Support

Responsibilities:

  • 90% of work is completed on-site at our customer's facility located around Elk Grove, IL 
  • Provide IT Infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues to the satisfaction of the end-user.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and fix desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals hardware problems as well as desktop applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues with systems and networks using good deductive reasoning skills.
  • Multitask and work with various deadlines.
  • Complete tasks on-time.
  • Function in stressful environments & situations.

Requirements:

  • Three to four years minimum of experience providing IT Infrastructure field support.
  • Strong knowledge of business LAN and WAN setups, TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
  • Skilled in desktop support and PC break/fix including administration of Windows OS, including Windows Server OS.
  • Experience with anti-malware and anti-virus software.
  • Experience with hypervisors, including Hyper-V and VM Ware.
  • Good written and oral communication skills with clients and management as well as people skills.
  • Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Required skills: multi-task, desktop support, server support, malware removal, networking, active directory, exchange, ERP, help desk, and organized.
  • You must have reliable transportation. Client sites are located throughout the Chicago suburbs.
