Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Computational Research Assistant (Seasonal) for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering within the School of Engineering.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Leverages advanced AI/ML to build predictive models for the environmental impacts of hydroclimate extremes, such as severe storms, droughts, and heatwaves.
  • Manages Big Data analytics involving remote sensing and climate/hydrologic model outputs to develop new predictive workflows.
  • Maintains the codebase on GitHub and present progress at weekly group meetings.
