THE OPPORTUNITY
Advantage Pro Services is a fast-growing residential home services company -- window cleaning, pressure washing, and gutter cleaning -- on a deliberate path from $3M to $6M+ in revenue. We deliver five-star service to Houston homeowners, and we're looking for the leader who will take us there.
The General Manager owns the P&L, leads a team of 30+, models the behavior, and holds the team accountable to results.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Sales Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable the Business Development Manager and Outside Sales team -- ride-alongs, pipeline reviews, close-rate tracking
  • Set monthly and quarterly sales targets; own the revenue number
  • Step in to demo, close, or recover a deal when the team needs backup
  • Drive growth in recurring maintenance plan enrollment

Operations
  • Oversee daily field operations through the Field Service Manager; ensure crews are staffed, scheduled, and producing at or above target efficiency
  • Own COGS -- labor utilization, materials, vehicle and equipment costs -- with a target at or below 40% of revenue
  • Partner with the CXM Manager to maintain NPS and customer retention above benchmarks

Financial Management
  • Own the full P&L; review actuals weekly with the Comptroller and flag variances before they become problems
  • Present monthly performance to the CEO with clear drivers and a corrective action plan when needed
  • Manage department budgets and vendor relationships

Team & Culture
  • Lead direct reports and 30+ total employees with urgency, accountability, and respect
  • Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, and performance management
  • Build a winning culture -- people who perform and grow here are rewarded with expanded responsibility and opportunities

YOUR DIRECT REPORTS
CXM Manager: Oversees Business Development Manager, Outside Sales team, Inside Sales / Customer Care, and Dispatch
Field Service Manager: Oversees Field Service Managers and all field technicians (20+ crew members)
Comptroller: Manages accounting, billing, payroll coordination, and financial reporting
HR Manager: Handles recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and safety
Marketing (Outsourced): Manages relationship with digital marketing partner -- SEO, social media, automation, and copywriting; holds partner accountable to lead volume targets and campaign ROI
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves
  • 4+ years of operations leadership in residential or commercial field services -- home services, pest control, landscaping, facilities management, or similar
  • Proven P&L ownership: you've managed a budget, hit a revenue target, and explained variance to leadership
  • Sales DNA -- you've sold, led sales teams, or both; cold calling and door-to-door experience is a genuine plus
  • Track record of developing people -- managers and hourly employees alike

Strong Differentiators
  • Branch manager or GM experience at a national home services company
  • Experience scaling a service business from startup to $5M+ revenue
  • Familiarity with field service software (ServiceTitan, Jobber, HubSpot, or comparable)
  • Houston-area market knowledge

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base salary $105,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
  • Performance bonus tied to revenue and profitability targets -- total comp potential $125K - $170K+
  • 401(k)
  • Health, vision, and life insurance
  • Clear growth path: as the company scales past $4M, the right leader helps define and leads the next structure with Options for ownership opportunities.
