Job Summary:
LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. is a leader in advanced EV batteries, specializing in the development and manufacturing of large lithium-ion polymer batteries. The Sr. Specialist, Information Security will be responsible for protecting information assets through cybersecurity solutions, policies, and compliance management, focusing on monitoring systems and managing vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Monitoring and Vulnerability Remediation
โ€ข Monitor the system for abnormalities and data leakage
โ€ข Conduct gap analysis to remediate deficiencies and improve security operations
โ€ข Respond to data leakage and security incidents
โ€ข Compliance and Standardization
โ€ข Create, update, and enforce policies and standard operating procedures
โ€ข Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific security regulations (KNCT, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
โ€ข ISO certification/renewal support
โ€ข Awareness and Audit
โ€ข Support information security awareness improvement for all North America locations
โ€ข Conduct site audits for compliance
โ€ข Create and conduct awareness raising trainings
โ€ข Security review for new devices and/or solutions
โ€ข Project Management
โ€ข Lead and/or support the implementation of cybersecurity equipment
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong knowledge of cybersecurity systems, technologies, and architecture
โ€ข Ability to conduct risk assessments and interpret security data
โ€ข Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new systems and processes
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills
โ€ข English (Fluent)
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
โ€ข 6+ years of Information security experience in a corporate setting
