What you'll do:
The Operations Manager is responsible for establishing and leading the Charlotte-area compressed air facility. This role will identify and build out the facility, implement warehouse and operational processes, and scale capabilities from initial warehousing and modification into full package assembly. The position is accountable for operational readiness, safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
Essential functions & responsibilities:
  • Lead facility search, layout, and buildout planning to support warehousing, modification, and staged progression to full package assembly.
  • Establish warehouse and distribution processes, inventory controls, and inventory tracking practices consistent with company standards.
  • Build and manage day-to-day operations for receiving, storage, kitting, shipping, and internal material flows to support modifications and assembly.
  • Develop the operational model for package work: staffing plan, work instructions, tooling/equipment needs, quality checks, and safety requirements.
  • Establish eventual package customization capability: layout, standard work, inspection/testing readiness, and escalation paths for build issues.
  • Partner with supply chain/sourcing to identify and qualify suppliers, support vendor set-up and ongoing vendor management, and inform tariff and cost considerations.
  • Own operational KPIs: on-time shipment, inventory accuracy, rework rate, safety metrics, and throughput for modification/assembly cells.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering and supply chain to implement product modifications and ensure materials, documentation, and work orders support execution.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • 7-12+ years leading warehouse/operations/manufacturing in industrial equipment; experience launching a new site or expanding facility capability preferred.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to build structure from the ground up.
  • Ability to operate in a startup/greenfield environment with high ambiguity.
  • Must have the ability to travel 10-20% of the time as required.
