Job Title: HVAC Technician (Industrial Maintenance Mechanic IV)
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124
Duration: Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: $45.00–$53.00/hr on W-2
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
The HVAC Technician is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role supports facility operations by maintaining equipment reliability, ensuring safety compliance, and minimizing downtime through effective maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, air handlers, ventilation systems, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems, vacuum systems, and RO/DI water systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and execute CMMS work orders.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, including systems operating up to 480V 3-phase power.
  • Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and facility improvement projects.
  • Perform basic pipefitting and mechanical repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Operate diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and maintenance software.
  • Support contractors, vendors, engineers, and facility teams as needed.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment performance.
Required Qualifications
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial mechanical/HVAC maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Experience working safely around 480V 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical documents, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License may be required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain site access clearance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in industrial environments, and wear required PPE including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
