Composite Technician - Entry Level Aerospace!

Pay: $23 to $27 per hour

Location: Mukilteo, WA

Job Description:

We are seeking individuals to support the manufacturing of advanced aerospace components using composite materials such as carbon fiber and prepregs. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience or strong mechanical aptitude looking to grow within the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hand layup of composite materials on molds per engineering specifications
  • Prepare tools, molds, and surfaces to ensure proper material adhesion and part quality
  • Apply prepreg materials with accurate fiber orientation and ply placement
  • Set up and execute vacuum bagging processes for curing operations
  • Operate ovens and autoclaves in accordance with process and safety requirements
  • Trim, drill, and finish parts to meet dimensional and quality standards
  • Inspect components for defects and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience using hand and power tools, ideally in a manufacturing or technical setting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or related field
  • Familiarity with composite materials or technical documentation

Shift Times:

  • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Thursday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM, Monday - Thursday

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mukilteo, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
