AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Wichita, Kansas that is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan
  • Ensures the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes in support of the type design
  • Uses process engineering principles and techniques. Develops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations
  • Performs trade and cost studies and assists in leading integrated product and process teams
  • Ability to apply knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.


Requirements:
  • Requires educational credentials meeting the Spirit classification standards for engineers and typically 0 to 1 year of experience in an engineering classification/position on
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited Engineering program?
  • Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and integration of structures and tooling concepts
  • Ability to determine the preferred process, assist in developing the design concept and direct the manufacture of structural assemblies
