Job Title: Compliance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Engineer to accelerate the market introduction of various products and product variants through proficient handling of UL certification processes. The ideal candidate will streamline existing processes and expedite the completion of ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface with UL for product and system certification.
  • Maintain certifications for existing products and ensure new products achieve certification.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Product Team and System Designer to achieve UL and CE compliance.
  • Coordinate with UL for DAP audits.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and assist team members in meeting project budgets.
  • Foster open communication across technical and business functions, including sales, operations, and quality.
  • Participate in continuous learning, standardization, and high-quality design with a focus on manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and work regulations while maintaining departmental housekeeping standards.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on drives/systems certification.
  • Strong knowledge of UL/CE/CSA codes and regulations.
  • 10+ years of related experience, preferably in panel shop and control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong process orientation and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in related fields.
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drive Compliance and UL & CE Compliance.
  • Familiarity with UL508C, UL61800-5-1, UL508A, EN61800-5-1, and IEC61800-5-1.
  • Experience with low-voltage drives and controls.
  • Strong familiarity with power electronics equipment.
  • Experience in a power-electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical skills in electrical engineering and power electronics.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
