About Vehicles
eBay is reinventing how people buy and sell vehicles online through a trusted, end-to-end transaction experience that protects buyers and C2C sellers and simplifies every step of the journey. Our vision is to establish eBay as a top destination for used vehicles in the US.
About the Role & Team
eBay is seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our Vehicles C2C team and lead initiatives that grow eBay's US Vehicles business and scale adoption of our end-to-end checkout experience among C2C sellers and buyers.
This role is equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on operator. You'll take ownership of initiatives from scoping through delivery - working cross-functionally with business, marketing, product, customer service, and other teams to drive progress and deliver results. You'll also build the presentations and analyses that keep senior leadership informed and aligned.
The ideal candidate brings strong business instincts, can break down complex problems into clear next steps, operates well in ambiguity, and communicates effectively with senior stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
  • Own and drive cross-functional initiatives that support critical business objectives, partnering with product, marketing, customer service, and other teams to deliver against key milestones.
  • Operate independently to scope problems, define approaches, align stakeholders, and drive decisions - often without a detailed playbook.
  • Establish key performance metrics and build mechanisms for tracking and evaluating initiative success.
  • Build and deliver executive-ready presentations on strategy, operational performance, and initiative outcomes.
  • Lead ongoing business cadences, including performance reviews, initiative deep dives, and progress reporting.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities across the US Vehicles landscape that require strategic problem-solving or process improvement
  • Establish operational processes and guardrails to support scalable growth in C2C activation, including pilot launches and product-market fit enhancements.
  • Conduct analysis of automotive market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape to inform decision-making and drive action.

What You Will Bring:
We're looking for the best fit, regardless of the type of companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don't exactly match the job description.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in business operations, consulting, program management, or a similar role where you owned outcomes and drove initiatives forward. Additional experience may be a substitute for education.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives with limited direction and deliver measurable business results.
  • Strong business judgement and the ability to structure ambiguous problems into actionable plans and recommendations.
  • Analytical skills and comfort working with tools such as Excel and Tableau to build analyses that support decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem solver with a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Bonus if you have a personal passion for eBay or the car industry, but it's not required.

Additional Details

$71,600 - $123,400
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
