Adorable Healing Counseling is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a remote, full-time capacity. In this role, you will provide essential therapeutic services to children and families confronting developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This position is conducted remotely, providing flexibility and the opportunity for efficient work-life balance while working with clients in their homes or in our outpatient office setting. You will interact closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes therapists, social workers, and special education professionals dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of the children and families we serve across Fresno, California, and beyond.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, either in-home or at our outpatient facility, tailored to meet the specific needs of children and family members.
• Implement therapeutic interventions focused on anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development to mitigate high-risk behaviors.
• Support and educate caregivers in effective decision-making strategies to manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
• Regularly collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and liaise with other professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Ensure timely documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, meeting organizational standards and compliance regulations.
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and submit recommendations for effective therapeutic strategies.

Your work will primarily involve engaging with a diverse population of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and other intellectual disabilities. By utilizing a strengths-based approach, you will address not only the clinical needs of these youth but also enhance family dynamics, ensuring comprehensive support for holistic development.

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license issued by the state of California is essential.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (between 4-7 PM), with weekend availability being advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle, as home visits may be necessary.
• Successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

• Demonstrable experience providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Previous work experience with children ages 3-20, particularly those with intellectual/developmental disabilities, is highly desired.
