Job Purpose
The Select Market Manager role focuses on cultivating and expanding relationships with mid-market accounts, those that require a consultative approach and strategic oversight but are not yet at the scale of national partnerships. The Select Market Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving customer retention, and identifying opportunities to scale accounts into national-level engagements.
What you will do...
  • Account Development & Management
    • Manage a portfolio of mid-market accounts ensuring consistent engagement and growth.
    • Develop tailored account strategies that align with client goals and company offerings.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales Execution
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories and verticals.
    • Conduct in-depth needs assessments and deliver customized solutions that align with client objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, product, marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Analyze market trends, customer data, and competitive intelligence to inform account strategies.
    • Partner with Strategic and National Account Managers to transition accounts as they scale.
    • Contribute to the development of pricing models and contract negotiations.
  • Reporting & Forecasting
    • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including pipeline activity, forecasts, and account plans.
    • Provide regular updates to leadership on account performance, risks, and opportunities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in equipment rental, industrial services, or a related industry.

Skills
  • Proven success managing mid-sized accounts with complex sales cycles.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and ability to influence decision-makers at multiple levels.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in both transactional and strategic sales environments.
  • Ability to balance short-term wins with long-term account development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
