Job description

We are looking for the right people — people who want to innovate, achieve, grow and lead. We attract and retain the best talent by investing in our employees and empowering them to develop themselves and their careers. Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.

We are seeking an Inventory Planner to support our Demand & Inventory Planning Function. This role is critical to execute or support North America Inventory Planning activities,  improve inventory efficiency, and strengthening alignment between demand, operations, and financial performance. The Inventory Planner will drive data-driven decision-making, execute standardized planning processes, and proactively manage inventory risks—including slow-moving inventory, redeployment opportunities, and forecast misalignment—to improve service reliability and optimize working capital.

What You'll Do
  • Optimize inventory to balance per business outlook.
  • Perform inventory analysis and drive corrective actions.
  • Partner with Demand Planners & Operations to improve forecast alignment.
  • Use data and inventory planning tools (e.g., SAP, CCH Tagetik) to drive exception-based planning.
  • Contribute to standardized processes and continuous improvement.
  • Place orders and collaborate with vendors (internal and external) to reduce lead times, create stocking strategies, mitigate past dues and stockouts.
Profile and Experience
  • Requires completion of a 2 year degree.
  • 6 years related experience in materials management which includes experience in procurement or logistics or a 4 year degree plus 2 years related work experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred and 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, inventory optimization, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with ERP and inventory planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CCH Tagetik).
  • Ability to manage complex datasets and translate insights into actions.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders.

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Inventory Planner or Senior Inventory Planner.
