About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) is an integral part of Salesforce's long-term growth strategy, and our Employee Success team supports this starting with early insights through formal due diligence and integration. As a Lead Compensation Data Analyst, you will serve as the analytical point person on compensation-related matters for assigned M&A deals from due diligence through integration. Operating with broad expertise and unique knowledge, you will own the delivery of data solutions, act independently to optimize methods and procedures, and look beyond the literal data in a spreadsheet and factor in context, culture, and unique business circumstances to drive your strategies. You will leverage your strong technical proficiency to lead data management workstreams while executing vital compensation modeling and job mapping.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Analysis & Mapping: Support acquisitions by partnering closely with our Global Total Rewards and Compensation teams to map and level acquired company roles to Salesforce's job architecture. Conducting job evaluations, assessing the cost impact of integrating compensation, benefits, and stock programs, and consulting on proposed adjustments to align rewards programs using financial, statistical, and modeling analysis. As you grow in the role, you will take on the responsibility to independently oversee and lead this end-to-end workstream for smaller deals, depending on deal volume and complexity.

  • Advanced Data Management: Lead data management workstreams by handling large employee data sets utilizing sophisticated formulas and advanced functionality in Excel and Google Sheets. You will provide the vision and direction on what data needs to be collected, ensuring data integrity while tracking data rooms and managing requests.

  • Reporting, Visualization & Insights: Own the delivery of data solutions by synthesizing complex data sets into actionable narratives. You will create data-driven stories and build complex, highly interactive dashboards using Tableau, considering advanced user interfaces, dashboard performance optimization, and integrating predictive analytics.

  • Operational Delivery & Process Improvement: Act independently on significant and unique issues, negotiating detailed requirement and solution design trade-offs with business partners. Evaluate and optimize M&A HR technology solutions, lead data analysis approaches for others, and continuously refine the ES M&A playbook to scale operations.

  • M&A Compensation Project Management: Lead project management efforts for compensation integration milestones. Proactively track the application and mitigation of decisions regarding how an acquired company's total rewards elements map-or deviate from-Salesforce's established programs. Apply risk assessment methods to identify and mitigate impacts, anticipate blockers, and connect the dots between overarching business strategies and specific project deliverables.

  • Stakeholder Enablement: Support the change readiness of HR teams and business leaders by sharing recommendations based on clear analytics and assumptions. Deliver solutions to complex compensation questions in ambiguous, unique circumstances.

Requirements for Success:

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Deep Analytical Expertise: 5+ years of expertise in financial analysis, statistical analysis, and modeling.

  • Data Fluency: Strong proficiency in advanced Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., sorting, filtering, advanced formulas, and data analysis functions) for working with large datasets.

  • Data Visualization: Expert capability in using data visualization tools like Tableau to build dynamic dashboards for enterprise-level solutions, present data-driven insights, and integrate predictive analytics or machine learning models.

  • Systems Knowledge: Experience with Workday HCM or similar HR technology platforms is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with Orgvue, Tableau, and Slack.

  • Domain Knowledge: Developing HR compensation programs and familiarity with global/local labor and compensation legal requirements.

Characteristics & Traits

  • Independent Leader: Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments, anticipating blockers, conflicts, and obstacles to resolve them. May supervise the work of others or contingent staff.

  • Detail-Oriented & Adaptable: Focuses on data accuracy and system integrity while successfully managing ambiguity and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective Communicator: Speaks and writes with clarity, brevity, and purpose, showing courage to tell people the truth even when it's uncomfortable, and seeking others' perspectives to modify own thinking.

  • Collaborative Problem Solver: Uses detailed logic to understand hidden problems and identify effective solutions without adding complexity, while successfully collaborating with diverse cross-functional groups
