Ministry Executive Assistant

Seeds Wilderness Therapy

Montrose, CO โ€ข On-site

Part-time

Job description

Dear Applicant,
Thank you for taking the time to explore the Executive Assistant to the Founder position at Seeds Wilderness Way. As you consider this opportunity, we want to share the deeper spiritual heart behind this role and the kind of partnership we are prayerfully seeking.
Seeds is a ministry that exists because Jesus heals. We have watched Him meet teens and families in the wilderness, speak truth into places of deep pain, and restore what felt beyond repair. The work is holy, weighty, and beautiful - and those who serve here must carry not only skill, but a heart anchored in Christ.
The Executive Assistant role is one of the most spiritually significant support positions in our ministry. It is a calling to come alongside the Founder in a posture of humility, discernment, and faithful presence. The Founder carries the spiritual and operational weight of leading a ministry that touches lives in profound ways. Because of that, we are seeking someone who understands the sacredness of supporting a leader who is daily pouring themselves out for others.
This role requires more than administrative excellence. It requires a heart that is steady when the load is heavy, peaceful when timelines tighten, and prayerful when decisions feel weighty. We are looking for someone who can be a calm, grounded presence - someone who helps create space for the Founder to hear from the Lord, to lead with clarity, and to shepherd with joy rather than exhaustion.
There will be moments when the Founder is carrying the burdens of families in crisis, navigating complex decisions, or discerning the next step for the ministry. In those moments, the Executive Assistant becomes a quiet intercessor, a stabilizing presence, and a trusted partner who helps process information, organize priorities, and bring order to what can feel overwhelming. Your ability to listen with compassion, anticipate needs with wisdom, and support with gentleness will be a vital part of the ministry's health.
We believe that serving in this role is an act of worship - a way of strengthening the hands of a leader so that the work of the Kingdom can continue unhindered. Scripture reminds us that "those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed," and we see this role as one who refreshes leadership through faithfulness, excellence, and Christlike service.
If you feel drawn to serve quietly and faithfully...
If you find joy in supporting others so they can flourish...
If you desire to be a steady, prayerful presence in a ministry that depends on the Holy Spirit for every step...
Then we are grateful you are exploring this opportunity with us.
We look forward to learning more about your story, your walk with Jesus, and the ways He may be preparing you to partner with Seeds in this season.
With gratitude and prayer,
~ From a Previous Executive Assistant
Executive Assistant to the Founder
A Faithful, Teachable, Mission-Driven Support Role at Seeds Wilderness Way
Seeds Wilderness Way is a Christ-centered, non-profit ministry that walks with families and teens through seasons of emotional, spiritual, and relational brokenness. Through the wilderness and the truth of the Gospel, we've seen healing that only Jesus can bring-transforming not only students, but entire family systems. As the Lord continues to expand our reach and impact, we are seeking a faithful, teachable partner to walk closely with our Founder and help build the administrative and operational support needed for this growing ministry.
This is not just a job-it's a calling. We're looking for someone who is personally committed to Christ, deeply aligned with our mission, and willing to serve with patience, flexibility, and a humble spirit.
Who You Are
Detail-Oriented
You're a gifted organizer who creates order, builds systems, and cares about the little things that make big things possible.
Faithful
Your loyalty is to Jesus first. You're committed to the mission of Seeds and trustworthy in your support of the Founder.
Available
You show up-with your time, your presence, and your attention to detail.
Teachable
You're eager to learn, open to feedback, and willing to grow alongside the ministry.
Adaptable
You can navigate a fast-changing environment with grace, steadiness, and peace.
Mission-Driven
You're passionate about the healing work Jesus is doing through Seeds and excited to play a behind-the-scenes role in it.
Your Role
As the Executive Assistant to the Founder, you will be entrusted with high-level support that helps turn vision into reality, brings order to operations, and ensures the Founder is free to lead, shepherd, and disciple. You will play a critical role in the day-to-day rhythms of the ministry, handling a blend of administrative, communication, and project-support tasks with excellence, discernment, and spiritual maturity.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Founder Personally and Professionally
  • Steward the Founder's calendar, meetings, appointments, and travel with a heart of service and attention to detail
  • Provide thoughtful, Spirit-led communication support-including drafting emails, updates, and correspondence on behalf of the Founder
  • Serve as a steady, trustworthy presence who helps carry the practical weight of ministry

Provide Project and Task Support
  • Work closely with the Founder to break vision into clear tasks, next steps, and timelines. Consider this task as processing, note taking, and writing out the message rather than coming up with individual tasks on your own. (The EA is the "ear" of the Director, the hands and feet, the messenger.... But not the COO or a departmental manager who would be responsible for implementing or overseeing the task.)
  • Maintain project boards and task lists (e.g., Basecamp) to ensure clarity and follow-through
  • Keep the Founder informed of deadlines, priorities, and upcoming needs

Handle Administrative Tasks with Excellence
  • Track receipts and prepare financial information for bookkeeping or finance support
  • Keep digital and physical files organized, up-to-date, and compliant
  • Assist with routine paperwork for students, staff, and families as directed

Support Donor and Partner Care
  • Help steward relationships by preparing thank-you notes, updates, and donor communication drafts
  • Assist with planning and coordinating meetings, small gatherings, or ministry events
  • Maintain organized records of donor interactions and communication touchpoints

This Role Could Grow With You
This position has the potential to grow into a broader full time or operational support role for someone who proves faithful, dependable, and aligned with the heart of Seeds. Growth here isn't about chasing a title-it's about long-term fruitfulness, relational trust, and shared mission.
Qualifications & Experience
You might be a great fit if you have:
  • A love for Jesus and a life lived in alignment with His Word and Spirit
  • At least 1 year of experience in a professional office, administrative, or communications role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Experience in expedition-based roles is helpful, but not required
  • You live near Montrose, CO or are willing to relocate

Practical Details
Location: Montrose, Colorado
Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Part time, but could flex to more full time hours as work load increases and your skills are proven
