Job description

Release It Counseling is a structured faith-based clinical healing center providing both in-person and telehealth mental health services throughout Virginia. Our mission is to create a healing-centered environment where individuals and families feel supported, empowered, and safe to release, heal, and grow.

We are committed to delivering compassionate, ethical, and clinically grounded care while developing the next generation of clinicians through mentorship, accountability, and professional support. Position Summary

Release It Counseling is seeking a dependable Christian Clinical Therapist (W-2 employee) to provide a combination of in-person and telehealth counseling services within a structured, growth-oriented practice environment.

This position is ideal for clinicians seeking long-term professional growth, mentorship, and the opportunity to build a consistent caseload within a supportive faith-centered practice. We are seeking clinicians who are invested, growth-oriented, and interested in growing with the agency over time.

Supervision for Social Work Supervisees is provided at no cost.

Compensation

Commission-based W-2 position
Starting compensation: $30 per completed session
Compensation is tied to completed sessions and timely documentation.

Clinicians should be prepared to actively grow into the position as referrals and caseloads develop progressively over time. Caseloads are not guaranteed immediately upon hire.

Schedule & Availability Expectations

Monday – Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No weekends allowed until after probation

Clinicians must maintain availability consistent with supporting an active caseload of approximately 18–20 sessions per week as referrals develop.

Responsibilities

Provide both in-person and telehealth counseling sessions during company hours
Complete all required clinical documentation within 24 hours of each session
Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings
Maintain professionalism, consistency, ethical standards, and strong interpersonal boundaries
Represent Release It Counseling with compassion, professionalism, and integrity in both virtual and in-person settings
Actively participate in building and maintaining a consistent caseload over time

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy
Active Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work status in Virginia
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
Commitment to ethical, high-quality, faith-informed clinical practice
Ability to work independently while respecting organizational structure, leadership, and accountability expectations. MUST BE license eligible as a Social Work Clinical Supervisee, Resident in Counseling, Resident in FMT.
