Job description

Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is looking to add to our Maintenance Team. Compass Park is a vast 320-acre community in the heart of Johnson County adjacent to Indianapolis. It is a vibrant community through all seasons and a place of beauty, rich in tall trees and winding footpaths. This job is in Franklin, IN.

Groundskeeper Responsibilities:

  • Complete Work Requisition Requests and Scheduled Preventative Maintenance Procedures.
  • Snow Removal when necessary.
  • Inform Maintenance Supervisor and or Director of any supplies needed to complete daily job functions.
  • Maintain Safety at highest priority and keep record of all Work done with Maintenance Care Program. Additional Training required for Lock out Tag out Procedures, Confined Space, and equipment operation.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor and or Director.
  • Responsible for keeping safety checks on Fire Extinguishers, keeping all Fire Detection equipment in operating order, and conducting Fire Drills with the In-service department.
  • May perform various routine maintenance jobs such as driving, moving, active involvement with remodeling homes/rooms, setting up or removing tables and chairs for functions.
  • Clean up shop area and job site upon completion of job or task.
  • Receives and stores helium and oxygen for the Medical Center & Residential within the established safety procedures.
  • Complete any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Director.

Groundskeeper Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • General Maintenance, Electrical, and Plumbing Skills Required.
  • Additional Skills preferred - HVAC Knowledge and Carpentry Experience.
